How it Works

• The test acid is applied to the watch's surface using a bar test, allowing for precise identification of stainless steel.
• The procedure involves applying the test acid, waiting for approximately 60 seconds, and then wiping off any residue.
• If an optical brightening effect is visible on the watch's surface after treatment, it indicates that the material is stainless steel.

Results and Precautions

• Pd white gold (750AU / 135 Pd) will not exhibit any changes in its surface appearance.
• For stainless steel, the acid will dissolve automatically after 30 seconds. If necessary, gently dab the area with a cloth to remove excess residue.
